DistractedFluttering deep inside my head

Fluttering deep inside my head
Subtle, silent, fade away
Each thought can distract instead
A new thing in it's stay

The love is there, the warmth and joy
The things I wish to share
But shiny things act as decoy
And lead me from the fair

Sometimes I try, and take control
To hold on to my heart
Like puzzle pieces of the soul
My feelings I impart

At times a gem, at times a drop
A flutter in the dark
But I do not wish to stop
On this path we embark
