It was one of the better times I've woken up. Instead of the slow glide to consciousness, I felt awake and very well rested as soon as my eyes quivered to open.
Hitori was still sleeping, his beautiful eyes covered by those thin folds of skin, so alluring.
My lips kissed them softly, feeling their minute response to my light touch. It was so sweet. He didn't wake up, making me wonder if he had slept all day and was just really tired from taking care of everyone and staying up all night or had been awake most of the day...
I kissed his lips and felt him waking up a little.
His eyes slowly opened and his lips curled to a smile. "Good evening."
"Hey, are you tired?"
He nodded. "I'm glad you woke me, so I can wish you luck."
He leaned over to kiss me on my lips, closing his eyes and moving slow, teasingly slow. His lips touched mine in the time of a heartbeat, but why did it seem so slow? I didn't mind. His lips let go of mine.
"Good luck."
I blushed and got out of bed, dressing myself casually, my clothes neatly folded by Hitori apparently. He stayed in bed and smiled as I left the room. Anka and Nuru sitting in the living room, their giggling audible even before I went through the door. They looked like good friends now.
As I stepped in they both looked up, smiles on their faces mixed with the light blush of giggles. It all seemed so nice and perfect for the time being. It gave me hope for my coming task. I wasn't even sure if I would find them at the address. But I would try.
Anka smiled. "You're going to save your friends today?"
I nodded.
Anka giggled. "Can I give you a kiss for good luck?"
I hesitated. "I guess."
Nuru smiled. "Me too!"
After accepting Anka's proposal, I could hardly refuse Nuru. I hope it wouldn't bring me into trouble though. Anka stood up and in front of me, kissing me directly on my lips, lingering a little longer than she should have. But it was sweet.
"Good luck." She whispered in my ears with her warm voice.
Leaving a blush on my cheek to face Nuru, she looked a little more nervous. She was used to closeness, but this was a friendly simple gesture and she appeared afraid. Afraid she'd mess it up, do too much or too little. She rallied magnificently though. The doubt disappeared from her eyes as she forced herself to be resolute.
And she kissed me.
Somehow... I expected something different.
It was a soft kiss, her warm, sweet lips pressed against mine, a little how a young niece would do. Partly playful, unfamiliar with the sensation. What took me by surprise is so difficult to explain. Her kiss was more... wild. Though it was a simple, almost childish, kiss, It had an animal quality to it that was hard to define.
Very unusual.
But not unpleasant.
"Good luck, miss Amy."
She winked playfully and moved past me to open the door for me. Both of them walked downstairs with me, seeing me off at the door. They stayed and waved at my disappearing figure for the longest time. I liked to see their silhouettes in the distance.
Now it was time to seek out that house.
And find my friends.
