Chapter 199The Last Dance

We walked through the quieting city, it was getting early, to Hitori. Part of me was a bit afraid of what Khuna and Hitori might do to each other or, worse still, start feeling for each other. I knew Khuna was quite shaken by everything and still didn't feel completely disconnected from Kryss. Any mention of him would have agitated her pretty easily.

The door to his apartment loomed.

Ironically the light seemed to have gone out above it that usually made it a warm looking entrance. Now it looked shadowy and secluded. Purely accidental probably but it wasn't helping my little nerves. We rang the doorbell.

From the stops I knew Anka was going to open the door. This might prove to be fun, as Anka already met both of them. But how would any of them respond?

She opened the door, smiled when she saw me and then blushed strongly when she saw the others. "A-Amy you're back!" She tried to hide her shame.

I giggled, I'd never seen Anka like this before. "What did I miss?"

Valerie was almost smiling evilly, a very sexy teasing smile. "A simple kiss and some blood."

Anka grinned to hide her blush it was really fun to see. Khuna just kept on giggling incessantly. It was more fun looking at them than trying to make Anka blush even more. It would be difficult to do, as things looked now. She finally got a grip on herself and laughed.

Anka smiled. "Come on in."

We went upstairs, giggling with the four of us like old time friends. I hoped we didn't wake up the others in the building but I'm sure they wouldn't have minded four beautiful girls haunting their dreams. The door to Hitori's place was open, as they had a pretty good idea who had pressed the doorbell downstairs, making it possible to see Nuru and Hitori sitting on the sofa.

Nuru was wearing that beautiful dress again.

It took me a moment, while I enjoyed the view, to realize that Khuna and Valerie never met Nuru before and that her history might shock them somewhat. Another thing to add to my nerves again. I felt as if I should make sure everything and everyone was alright.

A deep breath helped me relax. "Khuna and Valerie, this is Nuru. I'll tell her all about you later."

Khuna smiled and put down her stuff to give Nuru a hand. "Hi!" She said cheerfully.

Valerie just stood there, her eyes wide open with surprise, awe and wonder. Her breathing was deep and almost erotic, despite the friendly sounds around me, I could hear it well. She looked at Nuru in silence and uttered one word.

"Beautiful."

Nuru looked up from Khuna's cheerful greeting into Valerie's eyes. Something happened between them, I don't exactly know what, it was amazing to feel. The contrast between Nuru's dark skin and Valerie's pale skin, even more accentuated by Valerie's raven black hair, was like Yin and Yang. They did nothing but look at each other and smile.

Khuna noticed it as well, she whispered softly. "It's been a long time since I've seen Valerie fascinated."

But it was Nuru who spoke up first. "Miss Amy, may I be with her?"

So forward. So cute.

Anka giggled. "There's only two rooms though, but I can sleep on the sofa if you want to Nuru."

Nuru blushed. "No, I... You can be there as well, I just want..."

She had already spoke up, very unlike her, so I guess she was due a major reward for something like this. "Nuru." I interrupted her on purpose, she looked at me guiltily. "I'm proud of you for speaking your mind. You can be with Valerie if she doesn't mind."

Valerie smiled gently. "I don't mind."

Nuru looked happy, very happy. She not only spoke her mind but got complimented on it and got her wish as well. She got up and danced, it was lovely to see, even with the little space available. But the dance soon took her to the art room where she twirled and moved like a dream.

It was amazing.

It was beautiful.

Anka, Valerie and I all cheered her on, which only served to make her dance more. Her dress moved as if it was suspended in water, slow and deliberate. The patterns of movement were like golden clouds swirling above. I wanted to ask Khuna if she liked the dance as well, but she wasn't there.

Neither was Hitori.

"Where is Hitori?" I asked Anka softly, not wishing to interrupt Nuru's dance.

Anka looked up. "Oh, they started talking almost as soon as Nuru started dancing. He does that sometimes. I think they went into the bedroom."

I wanted to jump up and rush there, know what was going on, but I stayed calm. "Thanks."

After a few more seconds I got up and walked to the bedroom, opening the door with fear in my heart, tension in my mind. Hitori and Khuna were sitting on the bed, right next to each other but not touching. Looking up at me as soon as I entered. Khuna smiled gently and stayed quiet, it was Hitori who took a breath to speak.

"Close the door, Amy. We need to talk."

With my heart in my throat I walked in. He'd sounded serious, but I wasn't quite sure why. Their eyes looked at me with kindness and part of me knew it wasn't that horrible after all. I loved both of them, in different ways. Khuna was the first who taught me. She'd stayed with me through a lot of everything. But Hitori... He was in my heart in a way I wouldn't ever be able to describe. Even if he would teach me to play, paint or write it would not be enough.

Hesitantely I walked to them, sat where their hands invited me, between them.

Hitori finally smiled. "Amy, I've talked to Khuna as it is obvious you care a lot about her as well. I think it's very brave of you to bring her here because of what you feel for both of us."

I wasn't sure where he was going with this. "I don't understand."

Hitori turned to me completely and smiled. "It's time for you to get something back for all you've done. For me, Anka, Nuru and your friends. The others will be fine for now, this night will be purely about you."

"I..."

Khuna, almost behind me while I was looking at Hitori, suddenly dragged me toward her and gave me a hug. "We're going to hold you until you cannot stop smiling."

Hitori smiled and hugged me as well, the three of us soon laying down on the bed. We just held each other for the moments until dawn, laughter from the other room both distant and nearby. It was much better to be held between their warm bodies than I could ever fathom.

Their arms wrapped around me made me feel safe. It was all over, all good.

My friends were with me.

Love around me.

Safe.
