Verbose VictorianLike a gentleman

As you all know, or should know, September 19th every year is "Talk Like a Pirate Day" (check How to Talk Like a Pirate.

But that's not what I want to talk to you about today. No, in fact, I wish to instigate a new day as the opposite. Obviously this should be on March 19th, a day fairly unmarked on most calendars, and initially the day seemed obvious. Talk Like a Ninja Day. However, as true Ninjas would never make their presence or intent known, it would be a very stupid day. So, a different direction was required.

Like Victorian Gentlemen.

To just call it "Talk like an Old Victorian English Gentleman" day would be rather a mouth full and not as original. So, with my love for alliteration, I came up with: Verbose Victorian (not to be confused with Oct 31, Verbose Vector, or also known as Math's Christmas).

On that day, one would speak in the most elegant of styles. Let them know we will not go quietly, to mock those of lesser stature and of course laugh at their ineptitude of even the simplest phrases. It would be a day to remember for all (all that matter, anyway).

And, as this is the world of possibilities, commonly referred to as the Internet, it exists now. Check out the sparkly, impressive and totally not built out of boredom and laziness: Verbose Victorian info page
